We are looking for a Dispatch and Stock Controller based at our Power Plastics division in Ottery.

About the role
The successful candidate will assist with the optimum administration of the Branch. This role will require the candidate to manage their time very effectively, to ensure that all areas of responsibility are fully complied with.
Job description

- Assures ready access to an up-to-date driver’s schedule for each bakkie
- Communicate with production and sales on a daily basis.
- Ensure that deliveries are consolidated if at all possible. Economical packaging.
- Ensure that deliveries are tracked, and all goods checked in.
- Ensure that only quality items that are as ordered is to be accepted. Operate reject management system for goods received.
- Ensure that booking is done on a daily basis – online booking and telephone booking, with all local couriers.
- Ensure that all covers collected by couriers have documents and signed for traceability.
- Ensure that there are no over 2 days covers on the finished goods shelf – take regular finished goods list and give copies to the scheduler and sales team.
- Follow-up covers on the finished goods shelf that are over 2 days.
- Maintain a clean and organized finished goods area.
- Responsible for ensuring goods are ready for despatch.
- Receive stock coming in from the suppliers.
- Tracking shipment of orders placed
- Overseeing stock storage processes
- Maintaining a steady flow of stock
- Preparing and issuing stocks for installers and production
- Performing regular stock inventory – weekly and monthly
- Ensure all parts/accessories are issued to production especially for covers that need to be couriered.
Minimum requirements
About you:
- National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
- At least 2 years experience in a similar position.
- Expeience working in a manufacturing environment
- Computer Literate, Microsoft excel, word and outlook
- Inventory Systems knowledge
- Customer service experience
- Teamwork
- Communication
- Attention to detail
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work overtime when required
